LaBeouf starred in Transformers: Dark of the Moon (grossing over $1 billion worldwide), which marked his third and final turn as the enterprising and heroic Sam Witwicky. 2 and the suspense drama Charlie Countryman, opposite Evan Rachel Wood, Mads Mikkelsen and Melissa Leo. McEnroe (critics heralded LaBeouf's performance as "perfection," "flawless" and "explosive") the critically acclaimed independent film American Honey, directed by Andrea Arnold, (his performance earned him a British Independent Film Award nomination for "Best Actor," a London Critics' Circle Film Award nomination for "Supporting Actor of the Year," and an Independent Spirit Award nomination for "Best Supporting Male") the post-apocalyptic thriller, Man Down alongside Gary Oldman and Kate Mara the war drama Fury, directed by David Ayer, opposite Brad Pitt Lars von Trier's drama, Nymphomaniac: Vol. The film, also starring Dakota Johnson, Bruce Dern and Zachary Gottsagen, won the Audience Award at the SXSW Film Festival. In 2019, Shia starred in The Peanut Butter Falcon, the highest grossing indie film of the year with $20,500,000 domestic box office receipts. The film received a Special Jury Award for Vision and Craft at the festival. LaBeouf portrays a law breaking, alcohol-abusing father who tries to mend his tumultuous relationship with his son (Lucas Hedges & Noah Jupe) over the course of a decade. The film also marks Shia's first feature length film as a screenwriter. LaBeouf received rave reviews for his performance in Honey Boy, which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. He most recently wrapped production on Abel Ferrarra's Padre Pio which follows the life of the now saint during his time as a monk in Puglia, Italy. Previously, Shia was also seen in the crime drama, The Tax Collector, which was written and directed by David Ayer. In the critically acclaimed film, a grieving couple (Kirby/LaBeouf) embarks on an emotional journey after the loss of their baby. Most recently, LaBeouf starred alongside Vanessa Kirby and Ellen Burstyn in Kornel Mundruczo's OscarĀ® nominated Pieces of a Woman. J.Shia LaBeouf's natural talent and raw energy have secured his place as one of Hollywood's leading men. Andy makes a deal, he'll straighten things out with Mabel if the mayor is willing to give back the fishing rod. It seems his wife Mabel knows that he bought the bed jacket but thinks that he bought it for another woman. Just as Andy and Opie and Aunt Bee sit down for cake, Mayor Stoner shows up in a panic. He explains to Opie that since Eagle-Eye Annie gave him so much pleasure, he has now traded it in for a different kind of pleasure, the pleasure of seeing Aunt Bee happy. He makes the trade and also makes Aunt Bee's birthday perfect. Stoner makes him a deal: The bed jacket for Andy's lucky fishing rod, "Eagle-Eye Annie," which Stoner had earlier been trying to purchase from the good sheriff. It has already been sold, however, to Mayor Stoner. After a tip from Clara, Andy understands that a mess has been created and desperately tries to track down the bed jacket. A misunderstanding leaves Bee thinking that she's getting the bed jacket, but she is broken-hearted when her gift turns out to be a collection of jars for putting up preserves and leaves the house in tears. She hints broadly to Andy that this might be the perfect present for her, but Andy misses the hint. Aunt Bee's birthday is just around the corner, but she makes a point of telling Andy that she doesn't want anything fancy however, she may have changed her mind when she falls in love with a lovely bed jacket displayed in the window of Luken's Style Shop.
